In Dr Mulla’s words, the primary role of the Islamic faith is to prepare the human being, not for life in the hereafter, but to lead a healthy life in this world. Religion acts to structure society and renders the individual meaningful.

Members of the Muslim communities who have been forced to emigrate may acquire a distorted view of themselves when mirrored in their host countries.

The BMH Foundation will organise or support events and activities that help to promote a positive, non-stereotypical image of Islam, enabling Muslim children to acquire unbiased knowledge of their culture of origin and, consequently, a sense of pride in their own identity.
